• BBNaija 2019 star has used herself as an example to other women who are ashamed of their body flaws.
• Venita advised women on how to completely embrace their body flaws without minding the naysayers.
Former Pepper Dem reality television star and ex-housemate, Venita Akpofure has finally disclosed her body flaws after a very long years hiding them with make-up and body wears.
Taking to her Instagram page on Saturday, January 9, the mother of two shared a natural picture of herself stating that she decided not to edit the picture because she wanted to share with her fellow women that it’s very ok to celebrate their bodies.
Venita revealed that she’s 34 and has two wonderful kids and prevalently, her main body flaws are stretch marks and she occasionally suffers from hormonal acne and anxiety.
She went further to say that she hates wearing makeup on a natural day, that’s the day she’s not working. She loves wigs and extensions, even though she prefers her natural hair now that she’s grown to love every part of who she is.
The Delta State-native also made mention that it took her a very long years before she realized that she needs to love who she is.
Venita however advised her fellow women to love their body by feeding themselves things that are good for their mind and spirits and also block out the naysayers because it’s their insecurities that seem to deflect on you.
She wrote, “Before I repost this archived pic… I decided not to edit it 🙈 I wanted to share with my fellow women that it’s ok to celebrate your body flaws and all anyway you feel you need and want to.
“I’m 34. I have two children. I have stretch marks and occasionally suffer from hormonal acne & anxiety. I hate to wear make up on a normal day (when I’m not working). I love wigs and extensions but I prefer my natural hair now that I’ve grown to love every inch of who I am. And it took me a LONG time.
“Like a plant you must always nourish yourself and feed yourself things that are good for your mind spirit and body. Block out the naysayers…it’s their insecurities that they deflect on you. That is no reflection of who you are.
“Love your flaws & exercise your strengths. Pray on the rest. It will always follow. 💕To all the mothers who make it happen everyday no matter what.”
