The Wakiso District police in Uganda, have yesterday arrested a man, John Reagan Ngobi, who reportedly set three churches on fire in Kasokoso Kira Municipality.
The 21-year-old Ugandan man said he did what he did because the 3 churches preach prosperity all the time but have failed to get him out of poverty.
According to a statement issued by the police shortly after his arrest, the suspect John Reagan Ngobi, told them that he got angry because he has been in abject poverty despite their preaching about prosperity.
Daily Monitor reports that, the churches affected include; St Noah’s Catholic Church where Rev. Fr. Mathias Mulumba Kalemba is the parish priest; Pastor Bageya Vincent‘s Liberty Church of Christ International for Born Agains and Pastor Odinga Kadika Nandere‘s God’s Tour Promising Church all located in Kasokoso.
