President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emeka Rollas, has defended the decision of the guild under his leadership to appoint the ‘slapping senator’, Elisha Abbo, as one of its patrons.
Recall that recently, following the AGN’s decision to make Senator Elisha Abbo its patron, Nollywood stars like, Hilda Dokubo, Kate Henshaw among others, took to social media to call out the leadership of the guild for finding someone who was caught on camera assaulting a nursing mother in a sex toy shop, worthy of being named a patron of the noble guild.
In a recent interview with PlusTV, Rollas justified the guild’s decision to make the senator its patron and asked if anyone is holier than Senator Abbo who has apologised for his action. He insists there are diplomatic ways Hilda Dokubo, Kate Henshaw and others could have used in registering their dissatisfactions rather than resorting to use of social media.
