Kobe Bryant‘s 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria Onore also known as GiGi was on board the helicopter which crashed over Calabasas, California, Sunday morning, January 26.
According to TMZ, the 41-year-old and at least four people traveling in his private helicopter over Calabasas when a fire broke out, sending the chopper spiraling from the sky
They were on their way to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when the crash occurred. The Academy is in nearby Thousand Oaks.
There were no survivors and the cause of the crash is under investigation as the story is still developing.
Bryant played for two decades with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning five championships and making 18 All-Star Games before retiring after the 2016 season.
