It’s quite a bad week and as such, very bad month of September 2019 for Africans as the xenophobic attacks in South Africa keep escalating.
Many Nigerians have spoken out on the attacks while some are still not interested to say a word. And this is really a time when the hell has been let loose.
Nigerian and South African celebrities have indeed voiced out. But some big names in Nigeria are still not going to let the sleeping dog lie.
Self acclaimed “African Giant”, Burna Boy has come after SA rapper, AKA for his tweets on the day Bafana Bafana football team lost to Nigeria Super Eagles during 2019 Africa Cup of Nation quarter final.
Some may say the “internet never forgets”. And that’s why those tweets from AKA are still on the limelight of trouble between him and most Nigerian celebrities who have lashed him out on twitter.
Even more, AKA has shown no remorse as he stood on the fact that his tweets were not in anyway xenophobic. “Big lie”, some may respond.
Just recently, Burna Boy said he had not been to South Africa since 2017 and he’s never going to go again until SA government solves the xenophobic problems.
He however regrets watching the videos of the attacks on Nigerians, stating that he previously had his own xenophobic experience with South Africans.
