It’s a thing of joy that some well-meaning Nigerians are coming to realise how important it is to help people in need. Much is expected from the political elites who in one way or the other are in the position to put smiles in the faces of their people.
Even more, the governors of some States see the need to adjust the standard of living for the citizens of their various States. The governor’s wives on the other hand join their hubby in making sure everything is in order for the citizens.
The wife of Kogi state Governor, Mrs Rashida Yahaya Bello who recently gave ₦1 million to an artiste for painting her portrait has again wowed Kogi people as well as Nigerians. An elderly woman has found peace in the eyes of the state mother who replaced a dilapidated structure where the old woman lives with a new built structure.
The old woman, Hauwawu is said to come from Awawu Onujabi Ayivonyi Ipaku Eba Adavi L.G.A of Kogi state, though there are no much information regarding her family as she lives alone in an isolated place.
Reports have it that Mrs Rashida ran into Hauwawu during her Door to Door campaign of President Muhammed Buhari second term re-election.
Governor’s wife said she broke into tears when she saw the very elderly woman in such a pitiable condition as she barely had a roof over her head, so she decided to provide shelter to make life more comfortable for her as long as God desires, and regardless of where she come from as she believes is never too late to be blessed.

“NEVER TOO LATE TO BE BLESSED. While i was out on a door to door campaign during the last general elections for our amiable President Buhari, i came across this aged Mama in a pitiable condition; she barely had a roof over her head, it was better imagined than seen. I was moved to tears. The least i could do was to make life more comfortable for her as long as God desires. Today i am grateful to God for using me to touch the life of Mama who represents millions of indigent and vulnerable elderly people that matters to me. I will say happily; Promise kept and Dreams Furfilled.”
Moreover, the new house, which was built within few months has been commissioned and Hauwawu is living happily. She has also expressed her joy and heartfelt appreciation as she prayed for the Her Excellency, Mrs Bello.
Mrs Rashida in a concluding remark has shown appreciation to God for using her to touch the life of Mama Hauwawu who represents millions of indigent and vulnerable elderly people in the State. “I can’t contain my joy, I am very happy and fulfilled over promise kept”, she said.
