Recently, a catholic priest on a peace mission was brutally set ablaze in Taraba. This happened due to the ongoing crises between Tiv and Jukun people.
Gunmen Reverend Father David Tanko, at Kufai Amadu in Taraba State on Friday, August 30.
The cleric was on his way to Takum for a peace meeting with his fellow clergymen on how to resolve the lingering Tiv, Jukun crisis, when he was killed.
The chairman of the council, Shiban Tikari, disclosed that after the clergyman was killed, the attackers set him and his car on fire. He further stressed that the attack was carried out by Tiv militias.
The cause of this crisis moreover is yet unknown as many have wondered about its rise.
