Burna Boy has decided to always be in the news as his art and style is gaining wider recognition and grounds by the day.
The African Giant album has been in the news since its release. There seem to be a news update with the achievement of the Afro-fusion singer.
The most coveted music academy and award body, Grammys has also joined in lauding the music giant in his numerous record breaking achievements. The academy recently celebrated the singer with a post on social media.
The Grammys made a post on their Twitter handle which reads; “Burna Boy is steadily ascending as a globally-loved superstar, with his smooth, rich vocals and infectious beats that blend traditional Afrobeat, dancehall, hip-hop, trap, and more.”
The sensational “Gbona” singer has been on a row. Recall that we earlier reported that his album debuted number 16 on the UK top 40 album chart.
He had earlier won “Best International Act’” in the last BET award after a stunning performance at the Coachella in April.
Since his solo performance in Beyoncé’s album Lion King: The Gift, the afro singer has been taking Africa and Nigerian music to the ends of the earth. He is also ready to go on an album tour soon.
It is a wonderful feeling that the Grammys is recognizing Nigerian music, this seem to be a renaissance in the history of Nigerian music, as fans are speculating that in no distant time, a Nigerian artiste will clinch the Grammy award for the first time ever.
