Cardi B is very tired of the hate. She spoke with fans on X Spaces this week. Later on, she recalled body shame during one pregnancy.

The Bronx star said fame feels hard right now. Trolls, she said, push stars down each day. She then begged fans to stop the abuse.
Cardi B defends Tyla on X Spaces
She began, “Look at Tyla,” after sharing body shame pain. “People been dragging the sh– out of Tyla,” she said. “The girl don’t even f—ing talk or address anything.”
Then she said folks just do not like stars. “The only way they like you is silence,” she added. “They beat your energy, your pride, to the ground.”
Later on, she said the clip count feels endless. “I see thousands of vids of people talking sh–.” She admitted she still does not know the cause.
She vented about harsh calls for pain and harm. “What do you want her to do, cut her veins?” “Enough, enough,” she urged the loud online crowd.
Inside Tyla backlash and her ‘coloured’ identity
The hate dates back to a 2020 TikTok clip. In it, Tyla called herself a “Coloured South African.” Later on, she dodged a race question on radio.
Charlamagne asked on The Breakfast Club about that debate. She chose not to answer, which some said worsened things. Variety noted this view in a recent long profile.
Tyla told Variety the whole thing felt very confusing. “I saw both sides, yet asked, ‘What do I do?’” “When who you are shakes, you want to stand.”
In British Vogue, she said silence felt right then. “I’m glad I did not say anything,” she shared. She feared twists of her words on that stage.
She later tried to teach the word’s South African use. “We had harsh rule and deep splits in South Africa.” “White folks named mixed people ‘coloured,’ and that stuck.”
“I knew I’m Black and also I’m coloured.” “In America, they told me, ‘You can’t say that.’” “So I asked, what am I then?” she said.
