According to Jim, Kate had always looked out for him in their early years. He wrote, “You kept manipulating my black a– by always looking out for me. Giving me heads up at auditions. Sometimes, slipping a couple of bucks in my hands.”

He shared how she treated him like a younger brother, even when he had feelings for her. He joked about the bond they shared, saying, “What a gorgeous human we would have made together.”

From playful love to deep respect

Jim didn’t hold back emotions. He reminisced about a time when Kate “finally let him in,” but he was young, famous, and confused. He blamed himself for messing it up.

“I was overwhelmed with fame and too many voices in my ears,” he confessed. “You stopped looking out for me. Took everything I did literally, then ran off and married that oyibo.”

Still, he praised the outcome of that union, noting, “A gorgeous lovely baby came from that. It did end in praise.”

He went on to blame Kate’s beauty and strength for causing pressure among young women today, calling her an example of a woman no surgery or procedure could replicate.

Kate Henshaw responds with grace

Kate didn’t miss a beat. She replied with her own heartfelt words, calling Jim “Jimbo,” and thanking him for toning down his “madness” for her.

“Whether we see every day or every decade, I got you,” she wrote. “Thank you for always toning down your m@dness for me. I love you Jimbo.”

Their back-and-forth showed not only a deep friendship but a long history of support, banter and unshakable loyalty.

A beautiful friendship that spans decades

Jim closed his message with a glowing tribute: “You’re a phenomenal creature. A force of nature. Your wild boy loves you.”

Their banter was poetic, brutally honest, yet full of love. It reminded fans how deep and lasting some Nollywood friendships can be.
