Uche Maduagwu Blasts May Edochie Over Fans’ Online Attacks on Yul
Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has called out May Edochie for allowing her fans to continually insult her estranged husband, Yul Edochie, without stepping in to stop them.
In a fiery Instagram post, Maduagwu questioned May’s quiet stance on the ongoing online attacks. He insisted that even though she may not be able to control every single comment made by her followers, she should have at least asked them to stop dragging Yul online.

He wrote, “The May Nation knows their Queen is still legally married to Yul, yet they come online and ridicule him, insult him, and say rubbish about his family name. Is that how you respect Queen May? Make una fear God.”
“You’re Still Legally Married, Speak Up” — Maduagwu Tells May
The actor didn’t hold back as he placed full responsibility on May for allowing her fans to shame Yul. He said her silence looks like quiet approval of the ridicule, especially because they are still married in the eyes of the law.
“I don’t blame those people insulting Yul Edochie,” Maduagwu continued. “I blame Queen May. You know you’re still legally married to this man. Yet, people go online every day insulting your husband, and you’ve never made a single post asking them to stop.”
He stressed that being legally tied to Yul means she should take some form of public action.
“Drop the Edochie Name If You Won’t Defend Him,” He Adds
Maduagwu even went as far as challenging May to drop the “Edochie” surname if she won’t ask her supporters to stop. He suggested that some people believe she’s holding onto the name because it brings her fame and endorsement deals.
He added, “If you can’t tell your fans to stop insulting your husband, then remove that name. People are saying it’s the Edochie name that’s giving you favour and endorsement.”
The actor rounded off his statement by urging May to show she’s a true Christian and stand by her legally wedded husband, even if they are estranged.
“Prove to Nigerians that you’re a Christian woman. Respect your legally married husband. Tell your fans to stop ridiculing him,” he said.
Maduagwu’s post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with him and others defending May’s silence.
