Actor Worked Over Month Without Proper Pay
Veteran actor Lalude has made shocking claims about his campaign work. He says he and his colleagues only got N10,000 daily for food. This happened while they campaigned for President Bola Tinubu in 2023.
Now Lalude feels angry and regrets his choice completely. He spoke about the hard times after Tinubu won. His interview is trending on social media now.

Lalude said he campaigned with his colleagues for weeks. The work lasted for one month and three weeks. But they never got proper payment for their work.
Instead, the team only got daily food money. “They were giving us N10,000 daily for feeding,” Lalude said. “It was supposed to be more than that.”
Also, the payments got worse over time. “But they decided to be giving us N10,000,” he added. “When they get to know that we are saving the money, they reduced the amount.”
Campaign People Made Things Even Worse
The situation got harder for the actors later on. Sometimes they didn’t get any money for days. “Sometimes they won’t even give us for two to three days,” Lalude said.
After all their hard work, the team expected proper payment. But the campaign people refused to pay them. “After the whole campaign job for one month and three weeks, they refused to pay us,” he said.
Lalude then made a strong curse against those people. “Those withholding our financial benefits for the campaign will not be fortunate for the rest of their life,” he said angrily.
Other Stars Also Feel Sorry About Supporting Tinubu
Lalude isn’t the only actor feeling this way. His colleague Alapini recently spoke out too. He feels sorry for campaigning for Tinubu with hundreds of colleagues.
ValidUpdates reports that many Nigerian celebrities supported Tinubu during elections. The list includes Saheed Balogun, Bimbo Akintola, and Toyin Abraham. Also, Eniola Badmus, Olaiya Igwe, and Seyi Law joined them.
The celebrities’ political support made many Nigerians angry. Their choice caused big drama on social media. Many fans showed their anger by unfollowing these stars.
Critics pointed to growing money problems under the government. They also talked about rising danger under the previous APC leadership. This made people question why celebrities would support such things.
Now, two years after the 2023 elections, regret spreads. The actors who supported Tinubu face continued criticism online. Meanwhile, they still haven’t got the rewards they expected.
