Zaria Khadejah Carr, a 27-year-old influencer from Georgia, was found dead just hours after writing a disturbing post on Facebook. In the message, she said she needed help to avoid losing her life or freedom.
The incident happened on Saturday night, June 14. Around 9:30 p.m., police in Twin City, Georgia, responded to a call about a domestic issue. When they got to the house, they found Zaria unconscious. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
At the time, her husband, 36-year-old Shamarcus Jameal Carr, was not at home. Also, Zaria’s car was missing. Police quickly issued an alert to find the vehicle.
Husband Shoots Himself After Police Stop
Authorities located the car around 11 p.m. in Wayne County, about two hours away. When police tried to stop the vehicle, Shamarcus pulled out a gun and shot himself. He later died from his injury.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed that Shamarcus was Zaria’s husband. They also said the case is still under investigation. However, the GBI did not confirm the cause of Zaria’s death yet.
Couple Known on Facebook as ‘Dutchess Dior’ and ‘The Frenchman’
Friends and followers knew the couple well on Facebook. Zaria was known as “Dutchess Dior” while Shamarcus, a dog breeder, was called “The Frenchman.” He had over 44,000 followers. His page featured pictures of French Bulldogs, as well as maternity photos with Zaria.
The last post on Zaria’s page came just hours before her death. It read: “I really don’t know what to do … but I need help before I lose my life or freedom! My kids need me!”
Still Many Questions Unanswered
Right now, investigators have not shared the exact cause of Zaria’s death. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is handling Shamarcus’ case, while the GBI continues to look into Zaria’s death. Because it is still an active investigation, police have not released more details.
