Responding to Melaye’s video, Charly Boy remarked that wealth does not shield individuals from depression. He suggested that Melaye might be struggling emotionally, stating, “Not all mental illnesses are noticeable.”
Charly Boy’s comment came after several social media users also questioned Melaye’s repeated display of affluence. The musician, known for his activism and outspoken nature, implied that Melaye’s public show of riches could be a cry for help.

Melaye did not hold back in his response. In a video shared on Facebook on Thursday, he ridiculed Charly Boy’s financial struggles, alleging that the activist was only using his name to remain relevant.
“I heard he has a leaking roof but cannot afford to fix it,” Melaye said. He further mocked Charly Boy’s well-known motorcycle collection, stating that the musician treats his bike like a decorative statue while criticising him for his displays of luxury.
Melaye also alleged that Charly Boy’s destiny had been “frozen” due to his supposed financial difficulties. He dismissed the activist’s remarks as attention-seeking behaviour, insisting that he would not be drawn into unnecessary controversy.
Despite the verbal exchanges, neither party has indicated a willingness to end the public feud, leaving many Nigerians to weigh in on the matter.
