Diddy (Sean Combs) is getting public support from his mother. Janice Combs has issued a long note about the new Netflix series. She says it twists her son’s early years and family life.

In a statement to Deadline Janice calls parts of the show lies. She says the series paints false stories about Sean’s home life. Her note follows our Netflix series exposes fresh claims report on the jailed star.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning is a four-part Netflix series. It looks back at his rise and later legal trouble. Past staff and partners share tough stories about control and harm.
Janice says she raised Sean with care
Janice rejects the way the series paints her as a harsh parent. She repeats that she was a single mother. She says long shifts and side work kept food and school fees paid.
She also answers Tim Patterson. He has claimed her link with Sean was harsh. She instead recalls a respectful child who stayed focused at school and work. In her words, Sean was always driven and keen to achieve more.
Janice argues that a firm tone from a tired parent is not abuse. She says the series cuts old moments out of frame. Those small bits then become dark stories on screen.
She denies reported slap story
Another part of Janice’s note tackles a story from Kirk Burrowes. He says Sean slapped his mother after the 1991 City College crush. Her pushback sits next to our earlier report Biggie estate manager denies claim.
Janice goes further and says Burrowes uses a dark day to chase gain. She says he wants a bigger place at Bad Boy Records again. In her view the new doc gives him fresh TV time.
The note joins a growing list of replies. Sean now faces jail time and heavy public claims. The Netflix series, led by rival 50 Cent, has already sparked news stories. Janice now wants viewers to think hard before taking the screen story as fact.
Netflix has not yet replied to her new note. For now, fans must weigh many voices and decide what to believe
