On December 26, 2025, Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy donated $100,000 (N150 million) to social critic VeryDarkMan for charitable causes. The funds will reportedly clear fines for prison inmates and settle outstanding medical bills in public hospitals across Nigeria’s 36 states.

Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan has announced a massive financial contribution from Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy to support indigent Nigerians. On December 26, 2025, the controversial critic revealed that the musician sent him $100,000 (approximately N150 million) to fund a nationwide humanitarian project.
This significant donation comes just days after Burna Boy reveals reason for mask during his recent public appearance in Delta State. VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) confirmed that the funds currently sit in his custody while his team prepares the necessary documentation.
Breakdown of the $100k donation
The activist explained that the N150 million sum will serve two specific purposes to help people start a “fresh 2026.” First, $50,000 (N75 million) will go toward securing the release of prison inmates who remain incarcerated solely due to their inability to pay minor fines.
These fines reportedly range from N30,000 to N300,000, keeping many individuals locked up for years despite their eligibility for release. The remaining $50,000 (N75 million) will settle outstanding medical bills for patients stranded in government and public hospitals.
VeryDarkMan, who recently made headlines when VeryDarkMan admits reporting Harrison Gwamnishu, stated his intention to reach beneficiaries across all 36 states. He expressed profound gratitude to the “City Boys” crooner for trusting him with such a huge amount to carry out this project.
The critic also noted that the initiative targets the “4th Arm of the Government,” a term he uses to describe his movement for social justice.
