Joyner Lucas (Gary Maurice Lucas Jr.) has called out DJ Vlad (Vlad Lyubovny) over an alleged plan to sue him for reposting a VladTV interview clip. The rapper says Vlad tied the dispute to a fresh push for a sit-down.

In an Instagram post, Joyner shared DMs that stretch back to 2018 and 2020, plus recent July messages, to show repeated asks for an interview. For wider rap context this month, see our Drake defamation case update.
The images include a July text where a VladTV contact seeks a call to settle a “legal matter” before court. Joyner replies later that he will not meet those terms.
What Joyner posted
His carousel starts with a headline that reads that Vlad is suing him over a social clip. Later slides show messages where Joyner’s team keeps pushing any interview plan.
One thread shows Vlad asking to “lock in the interview” and promising huge views. Joyner’s replies point to timing issues and a desire to hold off.
Another July exchange shows the stakes more clearly. A message offers to drop a copyright claim if Joyner agrees to the interview.
Joyner rejects the idea in a sharp note that spreads online fast. “Suck my d**k,” he writes, telling Vlad to “call your attorney.”
What Vlad’s side demanded later
Joyner also posts a law firm letter dated July 30. It seeks a takedown, payment for harm, and a signed deal.
The letter sets an August deadline and reserves all rights if he refuses. Joyner says he will not comply with those terms.
He adds that the suit comes only because he declined the sit-down. For more US-rap headlines this week, read our SZA on Drake–Kendrick beef piece.
Joyner ends by calling Vlad a stalker who wants “clout.” He says he will never trade an interview for legal peace.
