FCT minister Nyesom Wike took aim at Peter Obi on Thursday. He said Obi would keep running for President only on social media. He spoke at a road launch in Abuja’s Mabushi District.

The jab followed Obi’s visit to an LEA primary school in Kapwa. He had called the site a national shame for public education. Wike pointed to his recent Abuja safety claim as proof of work in the capital.
What Wike said
Wike said Obi plays to the online crowd with staged stops. “It is not every matter you must play as politics,” he said. He added that Obi would “keep contesting on social media, not in Nigeria.”
Why Obi visited the school
Obi had toured the Kapwa school a day before the event. He noted the lack of seats, toilets, and basic tools for pupils. He said the scene shows weak care for public schools.
On Instagram, users like @onyinyechi__favour and @mondaysinclair backed Obi. Others, including @kateben21 and @monarchonobs, posted love notes and laughs. A longer prayer from @sashyhairempire asked God to prove Wike wrong.
Obi has stayed active with public notes and brief visits. Late last month he clarified a royal greeting line after online heat. Read our Obi explains ‘my brother’ remark for details.
