Key Points:
- Verydarkman says Lagos holds back growth for other states. He calls for fair spread of trade and travel.
- He wants three strong ports across key growth regions. He also wants more real international flights beyond Lagos.
- He urges leaders and Igbo traders to push change. He says that fight will make goods cheaper.
Activist Martin Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman, has shared a blunt view. He says Lagos makes the whole nation move slow. In his words, “Lagos is our problem.” He adds that the city holds too much cash and work.

He says the fix is quite clear and not hard. He wants more ports and real flight links in many zones. He also says Lagos can stand as its own land. He adds that this split could let the rest grow fast.
He says Lagos blocks fair growth across regions
The activist asks a key thing right away. “Why must all goods land in Lagos?” he says. He notes that most sea ships dock there first. He adds that this makes goods cost more for most homes.
He lists states that can ease the strain at once. He says Delta State can serve the East with a port. Folks in Onitsha, Enugu, and towns near can move goods. He says short trips will cut time and cost a lot.
He also calls for a port in Kogi State. He notes it will serve Abuja, Kaduna, and the North. He says that set-up will cut long hauls from Lagos. He adds that trucks will face less wear and stress.
Recent Lagos buzz like Hilda Baci’s Eko Hotel cookout shows that pull. He says such draws should spread to more hubs.
He lists ports and flights Nigeria must spread
Verydarkman says air travel also needs a fresh plan. He says most long trips still “go through Lagos.” He notes that some flights use Abuja yet not that much. He calls the rest “just by name” and not real links.
He wants Enugu to host big direct flights to the world. He says Edo and Delta should share one great air hub too. He adds that more strong hubs will help new firms grow. He says this will bring in fair jobs and new cash.
He says the nation should add at least three new ports. He also wants real global flights in “at least 18 states.” He claims this will open doors for trade and work. He adds that goods will sell cheap once trips are short.
Some artists also fear Lagos blocks rise, as in Odumodublvck on Lagos hurdles. Verydarkman says that view now fits other fields too.
He calls leaders and traders to act now
He urges “Igbo brothers” and all fair minds to speak up. He says big Igbo traders rely on Lagos ports today. He wants them to push for a Delta port with speed. He says that move will help Onitsha Main Market a lot.
He also talks about fun trips and year end buzz. He says “dirty December” brings huge cash to Lagos each year. He claims the city made “two point something billion” last year. He adds that “ticket and tax” brought “twenty something thousand.”
He names those who can shift things right away. He calls on state reps and those who make laws. He urges them to press for new ports and flights now. He says fair spread will lift homes and firms in all zones.
He ends with a hard line on Lagos and grip. He says the city “milks the whole country” too much. He adds that “some leaders” like the flow and keep mute. He signs off with “peace and love” and heads to the gym.
