Key Points:
- VeryDarkMan said he urged Naira Marley to sue Iyabo Ojo.
- Iyabo allegedly apologised at the police station and was forgiven.
- VDM said he was shocked and upset by Naira’s choice.
Self-styled activist, Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has shared fresh details about Naira Marley and Iyabo Ojo’s clash over Mohbad’s death.

VDM claimed he once advised the singer to sue Iyabo Ojo for defamation, but Naira chose to forgive her after she said sorry at the police office.
“Iyabo begged, but Naira forgave her” — VDM
Speaking in a video on TikTok, VDM recalled how he planned with Naira to press charges against the actress.
He said the plan was for Naira to accuse her of ruining his name and career with false words.
“I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo,” he said. “But he said Allah will judge. I told him to lose his cool once we got to the Police Commissioner’s office and say that Iyabo’s words had ruined him.”
“He agreed. But once she apologised in Yoruba, Naira forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was so upset and disappointed.”
“Even Sam Larry cried”
VeryDarkMan said Naira’s friend, Sam Larry, was shocked when Naira accepted the apology.
He explained, “When Sam Larry saw that Naira forgave her, he protested. I kept giving signs to Naira not to accept the apology. I knew Iyabo Ojo wouldn’t keep to her end of the deal. Sam Larry shed tears.”
Court cleared Naira Marley months ago
ValidUpdates earlier reported that VeryDarkMan had also reignited his fight for justice for Mohbad, spending over N3 million on the case, including helping Mohbad’s driver and supporting Primeboy.
Also, about four months ago, a Nigerian court ruled in favour of Naira Marley and Sam Larry over Mohbad’s death.
The court said there was no strong proof that linked them to the late singer’s passing.
This new twist adds more fuel to the still-burning drama around Mohbad, his former label boss, and all who got drawn into the case.
