Singer Spyro has opened up about his unwavering faith and why he refused to remove “Jesus” from his brand, despite advice from his team.

The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker revealed he left his former label in 2019 to start his own. He took both bank and personal loans to kick-start his journey. From then till now, he says he hasn’t received any external financial help.
Pressure to rebrand
Spyro recalled that one morning, some team members questioned his “Jesus Boy” brand. They suggested that the name and his profile tag “Christ Ambassador” might be holding him back.
They argued that associating with Jesus could limit his appeal and reduce earnings. One even proposed changing it to “Child of God” as a broader term. Spyro refused, saying, “I will rather die than remove Jesus from my profile.”
Standing firm in faith
The singer explained he believed the Jesus he proclaimed would open doors for him. Recently, a former teammate called to admit many artists now have no deals or shows, but Spyro is in a good place.
He said he knew from the start they wouldn’t support him because he was the opposite of what they stood for. He acknowledged making mistakes but insisted there was an agenda to silence those who stood in their way.
Thriving despite challenges
According to Spyro, it’s been three years of relevance for him, even as the system fails and others complain. He credits God for keeping his head “well above waters.”
He added that God has given him all he asked for, including peace of mind. Now, he focuses on living his best life and introducing more people to “this Jesus that is unlimited.”
