In a tweet, the fan wrote in Pidgin English, “Person wey them talk say him no sabi sing say na dance him dey dance na him come sabi sing pass. False narrative.” The fan praised Peter for proving critics wrong over the years.

Mr P responds with a powerful lesson

Reacting to the fan, Peter stressed the importance of knowing your value. He wrote, “But sadly, most people fall for it. In this life, always know your worth. Don’t settle for less, and never stay where you’re not valued or respected.”

He added a key piece of advice about self-respect. “Respect yourself enough to leave any place where your efforts are not appreciated.”

Peter’s words quickly drew attention online. Many fans agreed with his statement, saying it was a reminder for people to stand up for themselves in every part of life, not just music.

P-Square split and ongoing debate

The comment has sparked fresh talks about the P-Square split. For years, some fans claimed Paul Okoye was the better singer while Peter was only good at dancing. However, Peter has continued to defend his talent, stating that he studied music and can sing, dance, and play instruments.

This is not the first time Mr P has addressed the issue. Recently, at an AY Live show, he said he is the only member of the Okoye family with a music certificate. He also performed live to show his singing and instrumental skills, saying critics had pushed a “false story” for too long.

Peter’s latest response shows he is done with the old debate and wants his journey to inspire others. His message is simple: know your worth, respect your effort, and walk away from places where you are not valued.
