BBNaija 10/10 housemate Kola had a heartfelt conversation with fellow housemate Dede about his feelings and the need for clarity between them. The chat came after he noticed her growing bond with other housemates, including Jason.

“Dede, I am talking to you,” Kola said as she seemed distracted. Dede smiled and replied, “Oh sh!t, I can hear for real. Am to look at you straight.”

Kola expresses his attraction

Kola admitted he wanted to understand her better. “I’m trying to get to know you for who you really are. I feel like the days are long and I’m not trying to choke you or make you feel like we have to talk all the time. You obviously have friendships and other people you want to talk to. Whatever you do is totally fine because it’s still left for you to decide. I just wanted to let you know that I’m very attracted to you,” he said.

Dede listened quietly before responding. “Can you talk about the things that matter? That’s how you feel and why you are calling this meeting. Although, let’s not get third parties involved,” she added, referring to Jason’s name coming up earlier in the chat.

Kola smiled and told her, “You are very funny, babe, and you know it. I love the fact that you’re acting the way.”

Dede sets clear boundaries

Dede made her stand known. “First of all, I don’t assume things. I’m a very straightforward person and because you gave me a wink does not mean there’s anything behind the wink. I don’t know how to take mixed signals. We are adults. I personally do not have the time to filter feelings based on what is happening here. Did I realize this? No. Am I just realizing it? Absolutely,” she said.

She then revealed a major detail. “But yeah, I’m in a relationship outside the house, very serious, really not open. So coming to an agreement and you say OK, cool, I know you have a relationship outside and I respect that and I wanna try to be your friend, that’s cool. But if tomorrow you’re trying to be my friend and there are feelings involved and I’m hearing all I need reciprocation, it would not happen. It will definitely not happen by God’s grace,” Dede concluded.
