Verydarkman Slams Benue in Shocking Video
Popular online critic, Verydarkman, has caused a stir again. This time, it’s after he described Benue State as the most backward place he has ever visited in Nigeria.
In a new video that’s now going viral, the outspoken influencer said the state looks like it hasn’t moved past the 1940s. “Benue is still in the year 1940,” he said, looking frustrated. “It is the most underdeveloped state I have ever been to.”

He Points to Bad Roads and Fear of Violence
Verydarkman didn’t stop at just words. He listed some of the things that shocked him during his visit. According to him, Benue’s roads are in terrible shape. He also said people are living in fear because of rising insecurity.
He warned that no investor will want to visit or do business in such a place. “Investors can’t come because of bad roads and insecurity,” he explained in the video.
Locals Fear for Their Lives During Projects
Verydarkman also shared his own experience trying to help people in the area. He is currently funding a borehole project in a town called Yelwata. But the work has been put on hold because of safety issues.
“I’m currently drilling a borehole in Yelwata,” he revealed. “But the people can’t continue the work because they are afraid of being killed.”
Online Reactions Mixed
The clip has received lots of attention online. While some agreed with him, others said he was being too harsh. Many urged the state government to listen and take steps to improve things.
Meanwhile, supporters of Verydarkman praised him for speaking up and showing concern for poor communities.
