Speed Darlington Breaks Silence Over NAPTIP’s Wanted List
Controversial singer Speed Darlington has reacted after being declared wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
A few days ago, NAPTIP released a statement accusing the musician of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. The agency said he ignored their invitation after he admitted online that he slept with a 15-year-old girl.

In a new video posted on Monday via his Instagram page, Speed Darlington said he has no plans to honour their invite. He called the accusations false and claimed the agency only wants social media attention.
“I’m Not Coming” — Singer Vows to Ignore NAPTIP’s Invitation
In his words, Speed said, “NAPTIP, listen to me. I’m not coming. Take down that thing you posted everywhere. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
He added that speaking carelessly or making jokes isn’t a crime. He asked the agency to show proof of any wrongdoing.
“Where is the evidence? Who complained? You just want to use me for clout. You want to look good by saying, ‘Hey, we invited a celeb and he showed up,’” he stated.
Claims of Defamation and Demand for Appearance Fee
Speed Darlington, known for his bold and unfiltered posts, said the agency would need to pay him N2.5 million as an appearance fee, along with tickets for him and his assistant.
“I charge for appearances. If I come, you’ll pay me N2.5 million and round-trip tickets,” he said.
The singer also stressed that he only made the video to trend and didn’t mention or target anyone. “Who did I stalk? Who did I post? I didn’t call any name,” he said.
Denial of Crime and Legal Threats Against NAPTIP
He went further to question if having sex with a 15-year-old was a crime and demanded evidence from NAPTIP.

“Where is your proof? Remove my name from that list. You’re just reacting because people were tagging you,” he said angrily.
The artist warned he would sue the agency for defamation and said they have no case. “You’re spoiling my name without proof. I’ll sue you,” he declared.
