Scooter Braun Hails Bieber’s Album as “Truly Him”
Music executive Scooter Braun has publicly praised Justin Bieber’s surprise new album Swag, calling it the most authentic work the singer has ever released.
Taking to his Instagram Story on Saturday, Braun wrote, “Without a doubt, the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date. It’s beautiful, raw, and truly him. And that matters.”

This post comes just days after the pair finally settled a long-standing financial dispute involving millions of dollars.
“I Had No Role In It,” Says Braun
Scooter Braun, who discovered a young Justin Bieber on YouTube and helped launch his career, made it clear he had nothing to do with this new project.
He stated that Bieber had fully stepped into his own creative direction this time. Still, Braun gave credit to the growth he witnessed in Justin over the years, especially in how he shaped his sound.
In a touching moment, Scooter added, “I’m proud of him. I genuinely love this album. Justin has a special tone—one of the best in the world.”
He even revealed his favourite track on the project: “Daisies.”
Settlement Worth Over $37 Million
This praise follows a quiet but major settlement between the two former partners. According to reports, Justin Bieber agreed to repay over $26 million to Hybe, Scooter Braun’s company.
The money covered a chunk of Bieber’s debt to concert promoter AEG, after his cancelled Justice tour.
In addition, Justin will also pay Scooter half of $11 million, which Braun claimed was owed in unpaid commissions.
The financial issues were previously explored in the TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber? documentary.
From Manager to Mentor – A Decade-Long Bond Ends
Bieber and Braun ended their professional relationship in 2023, after over ten years of working together.
Still, Braun’s recent words show there’s no bitterness. Instead, there’s respect.
Justin’s new album Swag—his first since 2021’s Justice—takes fans deep into his personal world. The tracks explore his marriage, fame, and emotional battles.
And even without Braun at the wheel, it’s clear the music mogul still roots for his former protégé.
