Portable Responds After Old Video Resurfaces
Nigerian singer Portable has replied to a viral video posted by social media critic, VeryDarkMan. The clip shows Portable being beaten in 2020 for allegedly stealing a tricycle.

VeryDarkMan shared it online after Portable asked him to stop calling out President Tinubu. The singer said it was under Tinubu’s rule that VeryDarkMan started living well.
Singer Says Story Is False
But Portable didn’t keep quiet. He quickly dropped a new diss track on Instagram.
In it, he denied stealing anything. He also said VeryDarkMan was trying to gain attention.
He sang, “VeryDarkMan, your mother. You’re poor. Your father makes shoes. I follow my father’s steps. I’m not a thief. Stop saying I’m a thief.”
Diss Tracks Take Over Instagram
Before this, VeryDarkMan had already made a song of his own. In his version, he mocked Portable and shouted “Ole!” which means “thief” in Yoruba.
Fans online took sides. Some felt Portable’s past shouldn’t be used to shame him now. Others believed the video proved something.
Online Fight Still Growing
What started as a fight over politics is now a full music beef. Both stars are posting songs, insults, and old videos.
Right now, nobody knows if it will stop. But many fans think both men enjoy the attention the drama brings.
