Nicki says ‘no’ to Drake-Sexyy Red collab
Nicki Minaj is spilling the tea again, and this time, it’s about why she turned down a high-energy collaboration with Drake and rapper Sexyy Red. The song in question? A track where the main hook reportedly went, “shake dat ass for Drake.”

In her usual bold tone, Nicki posted, “He wanted me and Sexy on it. I still have the version of just Drake and Sexy.” But she didn’t feel it was the right time. “I said I want to wait for PF2 for me and him to do a Dricki song so it felt more special.”
‘She keeps shouting she wrote for Beyoncé’ – Nicki reacts
Without naming names, Nicki also threw shade at a certain female artist who’s been boasting about writing for Beyoncé. “This woman has been trying to tell the world she wrote for Beyoncé every other other business day,” she wrote with a weary emoji.
Nicki then dived into her own story with Queen Bey. She recalled a phone call where both she and Beyoncé debated who should sing a particular part of their joint song.
“Bey was like ‘you sing it,’ I was like ‘NOOOO you sing it!’” Nicki wrote. “She was like ‘nooooo you sing it,’ I was like PLEASE!!!!! I can’t sing!”
Beyoncé calmed her fears and boosted her confidence
Nicki described Beyoncé’s calm reassurance during the moment. “Y’all why Bey said (with a straight face) ‘yes you can.’ In that calm Texas drawl,” she added with laughing emojis.
Apparently, no one liked the lyrics they had to sing. “None of us wanted to sing those sh*t lyrics,” Nicki admitted. But Beyoncé’s voice was already laid on the track. Nicki re-sang her part and sent it back. Beyoncé later added vocals underneath Nicki’s third rap verse too.
Nicki blasts unnamed female rapper’s lack of creativity
Nicki didn’t stop there. She went on to shade the same unnamed rapper again, this time saying it took her “2 days to be coached on what to say & do next.”
“She has no identity,” Nicki added. “Can’t think off the top of her head if you paid her.”
She ended by praising her own organic style and hinted that the industry is full of people who fake creativity behind the scenes.
