IVD Breaks Silence On Painful Separation From His Kids
Popular Nigerian auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD, has revealed that he hasn’t seen or spoken to his five children for over three years.

In a heartfelt chat on The Honest Bunch podcast, IVD said he was completely shut out of his kids’ lives after the death of his wife, Bimbo. He pointed fingers at her family for taking the children and denying him all access.
“They kidnapped my five kids,” he said. “I’ve not seen them till now. It’s been over three years. I don’t even know how they are doing. I do not talk to them on the phone.”
He Says Bimbo’s Family Took His Children Away
The father of five believes Bimbo’s family intentionally blocked all contact. He made it clear he has not had any communication with his kids since 2022.
Although he tried not to show too much pain, IVD’s voice carried deep sadness and worry. He stressed how much he missed his children and how badly he wants to hear from them.
He said, “I’m not asking for too much. I just want to see or speak with them. They’re my children.”
Finding Peace With Blessing CEO
Even though the situation hurts, IVD said he has found peace in his new relationship with popular therapist Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO.
When asked about rumours that he cheats on her, IVD strongly denied them. He responded without hesitation, saying,
“God forbid. I swear with my life.”
He claimed he’s fully committed and has no reason to be unfaithful.
The Fire Tragedy That Changed Everything
Back in October 2022, IVD’s life changed forever when his wife Bimbo died after a fire incident in their Lekki home. Their marriage had lasted 16 years but was full of ups and downs.
There were several reports of domestic violence, with both IVD and Bimbo accusing each other of abuse. Her death sparked huge public debates and criticism, especially on social media.
Since then, IVD has remained in the spotlight — not just for his auto business but also for the drama surrounding his personal life.
Now, over three years after losing his wife, he says the biggest pain isn’t the backlash, but not being able to see his children.
