Diddy Walks Free On Major Charges
Diddy has walked free from some of the most serious claims in his trial. On Wednesday, July 2, the court found him not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking, charges that had threatened his freedom the most.
The moment the verdict came in, the music star looked back at his family and said softly, “I’m coming home.” His mum, Janice Combs, sat behind him in the courtroom gallery with his three daughters, sons Christian, Justin, and Quincy, and Dana Tran, the mother of his youngest child. Other extended family members were also present.

At first, Diddy’s legal team seemed tense when the jury sent a note saying a decision had been made. Prosecutors even smiled a bit. But things quickly changed once the verdicts started rolling in.
Tears, Prayers, And a Courtroom Full of Emotions
As Diddy was led into the courtroom from the holding cell, he smiled warmly at his family. Then he quietly buried his face in a book, waiting for the jury.
When the first “Not guilty” rang out for Count 1 — the racketeering charge — Diddy’s team sighed with huge relief. The next big moment came with Count 2, which involved sex trafficking related to Cassie.
The gallery gasped with a loud “Ohhhh” when the verdict came back not guilty again. Diddy put his face in his hands, rubbing his eyes as the pressure melted away.
However, Count 3 brought a setback. The jury found him guilty of transporting Cassie for prostitution. Diddy didn’t move.
Later on, when Count 4 — sex trafficking of a woman named Jane — was also ruled not guilty, Diddy gave a quiet fist pump from his seat.

But Count 5 struck again. The jury found him guilty of transporting Jane for prostitution. His son Justin Combs bowed his head in shock. Diddy folded his hands in prayer and mouthed “Thank you” to the jury. Interestingly, the jurors didn’t react.
Courtroom Celebrates, But Diddy Still Faces Sentencing
After all the charges were read, the judge asked if Diddy wanted to return to the Brooklyn jail where he’d been locked up since his arrest in September. Diddy shook his head quickly and folded his hands again in prayer.
Then came the final emotional moment. As talks between prosecutors and his lawyers wrapped up, Diddy got down on his knees beside his chair. He placed his hands on the seat and started praying quietly.
His lawyers were overwhelmed with joy. Lead attorney Teny Geragos cried as she hugged her team. Diddy hugged her tightly. Another lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, who gave the closing speech, cheered loudly toward the gallery, shouting “Yeah!!!”

Outside the courtroom, Diddy’s son Christian danced in celebration. Dana Tran cried. The gallery burst into applause.
Even though prosecutors lost their biggest claims, they didn’t seem too sad. Maurene Comey, the lead prosecutor, even smiled a little after court.
