Key Points:
- The wedding will happen in Venice, not Aspen, with just 200 guests.
- Most of the wedding items are coming from local shops in Venice.
- Guests are told not to bring gifts but to donate to charity.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are about to have one of the biggest weddings in the world.
The Amazon boss asked Lauren to marry him two years ago during a trip to Europe. He gave her a 30-carat diamond ring. Now, the wedding is finally here. It begins on June 24 in the lovely city of Venice, Italy.

Lauren, a former TV host, once said she’s planning her big day like every other bride. “I even have a Pinterest,” she joked during a chat in 2024.
Wedding Will Take Place in Magical Venice
At first, some people thought the wedding would happen in snowy Aspen. But Venice’s Mayor said it will take place in his city. He added that only 200 guests are invited and the celebration won’t disturb the city.
Most wedding items are being bought from shops in Venice. A bakery called Rosa Salva will make tasty sweets for the guests. Another shop, Laguna B, is creating colourful glass items as gifts.
One shop owner said, “It’s great that they chose Venice. It shows love for our city.”
Stars on the Guest List and Fancy Hotels Booked
The couple’s past parties had guests like Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and Salma Hayek. This wedding is expected to be full of big stars again.
Names like Ivanka Trump, Karlie Kloss, and Jared Kushner are invited. The couple also booked five fancy hotels, including the one where George and Amal Clooney got married.
Guests won’t bring presents. Instead, they’re told to give money to charity. Goody bags will be filled with glass gifts and sweet treats from Venice.
Planners Say Wedding Won’t Disturb Locals
Event organisers Lanza & Baucina Limited said they’re working hard to respect Venice. They said most of the workers are local people.

Bezos and Sánchez have also quietly given money to Venice charities.
Lauren’s wedding dress is still a surprise. Some say Anna Wintour is helping her pick it. Others say the gown could be from Oscar de la Renta. In March, the couple were spotted at a Dolce & Gabbana shop in Milan.
Everything is set for what may be the wedding of the century!
