Key Points:
- Kid Cudi says Sean “Diddy” Combs set fire to his Porsche in 2012.
- Cudi had dated Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, causing tensions.
- The rapper described Combs as violent and scary during court testimony.
In a shocking moment during a sex trafficking trial involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, rapper Kid Cudi shared a dramatic story in court. He said that Diddy broke into his home and set fire to his luxury car. This happened after Cudi dated Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s former girlfriend.
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, gave his testimony on Thursday. The court is now in its second week of hearing the case. So far, 16 witnesses have spoken, including Cassie herself.

Cudi said the trouble began in 2011. He believed Cassie was no longer with Diddy, so they started dating. But things quickly turned dangerous.
“We Had to Run for Our Safety”
Cudi shared that in December 2011, Cassie called him early in the morning, around 6 a.m. She was crying and scared. She said Diddy had attacked her with a wine bottle opener. The couple quickly left her place and went to a nearby hotel to stay safe.
Later, Cudi went back to his home and found something disturbing. His security cameras had been damaged. Someone had opened his gifts. His dog was locked in the bathroom. He told the police, but nothing happened. No one was arrested.
Then, just weeks later, in January 2012, Cudi’s Porsche was set on fire outside his home. The top of the car had been cut open. A Molotov cocktail—an explosive bottle—had been used to burn it. Photos shown in court confirmed this.
A Scary Meeting and a Strange Apology
Cudi decided to confront Diddy. He met him at Soho House in Los Angeles. He described Diddy as calm but scary, saying he looked “like a Marvel supervillain” while staring out the window.
When Cudi asked him about the burned car, Diddy replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
In 2015, the two met again at the same place. This time, Cudi said Diddy apologised. He told him, “Man, I just want to apologise for everything and all that bullsh*t.” Cudi said that helped him move on.
“I Knew Diddy Was Violent”
During cross-examination, Cudi confirmed that police collected DNA from the burned Porsche. But he never heard about any results. No one was arrested.
Diddy’s lawyer, Brian Steel, tried to say that Cassie had tricked Cudi. The rapper agreed it was possible.
Still, Cudi said their relationship ended because he feared for their safety. He finished his testimony by saying, “I knew Sean Combs was violent.”
The trial continues, and more shocking stories may still come out.
