Cross-Dresser Files Lawsuit Amid Controversy
In a dramatic twist in Nigeria’s online landscape, popular cross-dresser Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has launched a legal battle against internet activist Martin Vincent Otse, commonly referred to as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
This conflict erupted days ago after VDM posted an audio clip on social media, purportedly capturing Bobrisky discussing a supposed N15 million bribe offered to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in exchange for dropping money laundering charges against him.
The audio recording also hints at possible complicity from officials within the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), suggesting that Bobrisky was allowed to serve his six-month jail sentence outside prison walls.

However, Bobrisky firmly denies these allegations, asserting that the voice in the recording is not his and claiming it was generated using Artificial Intelligence.
Demands for Immediate Action
Bobrisky’s legal team wasted no time in addressing the situation. In a Facebook post on Sunday, September 29, they outlined a set of demands directed at VeryDarkMan.
They have called for the immediate removal of the audio clip, a public apology to be published in two major national newspapers, and a video apology to be shared widely across all social media platforms.
The tone of the letter was stern. It stated, “We demand, on behalf of our client, a written apology published in two national daily newspapers, a video recording of your apology to our client shared on all your social media platforms, a commitment to refrain from reporting or publishing defamatory content against our client, and the payment of N1,000,000,000 in damages within 24 hours of this letter via social media or any other means.”
This aggressive stance emphasises Bobrisky’s intention to clear his name and protect his reputation in a highly publicised and scrutinised environment.
The Fallout and Implications
As the story unfolds, the implications of this feud could resonate beyond the individuals involved. With social media playing an increasingly vital role in shaping reputations and public perception in Nigeria, the outcome of this lawsuit could set a precedent for how online criticism and defamation cases are handled in the future.
Both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan now find themselves at the centre of a legal storm that highlights the challenges celebrities face in the digital age.

The conflict continues to garner significant attention, raising questions about the nature of online discourse and the accountability of digital platform users.
While Bobrisky seeks redress through the courts, the social media landscape remains abuzz with speculation about the truth behind the allegations and the potential legal consequences for all parties involved.
As this story develops, it is clear that both social media users and public figures must navigate a complex web of expression and accountability in an era dominated by instant communication and rapid dissemination of information.
