VeryDarkMan Claims Payment for Bribery in Shocking Testimony
Nigerian activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has made headlines by revealing how he obtained a contentious audio recording involving popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely recognised as Bobrisky.
His disclosure came during a tense session on Monday with a House of Representatives panel investigating bribery allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Confrontation in the House of Representatives
VeryDarkMan’s appearance before the committee was marked by a dramatic confrontation. He initially resisted providing details about the recording while Bobrisky was absent from the proceedings.

Instead of appearing personally, Bobrisky had sent a lawyer to represent him. The committee, however, was adamant that VeryDarkMan must address their queries regarding the audio evidence he had publicised.
In a surprising turn, lawmakers moved a motion compelling the activist to share what he knew. VeryDarkMan stood firm, insisting that his lawyer was more qualified to speak on his behalf.
Tensions rose as the committee threatened to invoke its legislative powers to enforce his attendance, escalating the situation further.
Allegations of Bribery and Corruption
During his testimony, VeryDarkMan asserted the authenticity of the explosive audio recording, claiming it was sent to him by an individual who had allegedly loaned money to Bobrisky.
According to VeryDarkMan, this recording includes claims that the controversial personality had paid a staggering N15 million to the EFCC in exchange for dropping money laundering charges against him.

This incident reportedly relates to Bobrisky’s high-profile naira spraying case that resulted in a six-month prison sentence earlier this year.
Additionally, VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky secured a preferential position within the prison system by offering bribes, suggesting systemic corruption within both the correctional and anti-graft services.
These assertions have only intensified public scrutiny of both Bobrisky and the institutions that are supposed to uphold justice.
As the investigation unfolds, all eyes will be on the committee’s findings and whether these serious allegations lead to further action against those involved.
VeryDarkMan’s testimony is a reminder of the ongoing challenges Nigeria faces in tackling corruption and ensuring accountability amongst its institutions.
