- – Interpersonal tensions arise as Onyeka from the Chekas pair feels targeted by micro-aggressions, impacting her emotional well-being and usual participation.

In the dynamic environment of Big Brother Naija Season 9, contestants Ben and Tjay of the Beta pair recently expressed their concerns about the growing influence of certain housemates.
Power Struggles Emerge
During a candid conversation on Monday night, they voiced apprehensions over how power is circulating among the Chekas pair (Chizoba and Onyeka), the Zinwe pair (Zion and Chinwe), and DJ Flo of the Floruish pair and his counterpart, Rhuthee.
“I don’t like the fact that power is now circulating between those three,” Tjay remarked.
He warned that this could lead to the formation of strong alliances, forcing others to either join them or face difficult challenges.
According to Tjay, one dominant group might eventually take over, especially as the competition intensifies and the top 10 contestants emerge.
Ben backed up these concerns, emphasizing that if he becomes the next Head of House (HoH), he would deliberately exclude Chekas from any favorable decisions. “If I enter HoH, I no go choose them Chekas,” he stated.
Tjay was curious and inquired why. Ben explained it was a matter of strategy and fairness. According to him, they had already extended their support to Chekas once before and didn’t believe they should do so again.
“We’ve saved them before,” Tjay agreed. “It would not be wise to save them twice. They should try to work on themselves; they can’t keep riding on us.”
Strain Among Contestants
Interpersonal issues also came to light during the conversation. Onyeka from the Chekas pair seemed to be struggling emotionally. Tjay shared that she confided in him about feeling targeted by micro-aggressions from members of the Zinwe pair and DJ Flo.
“Onyeka was very down today,” Tjay revealed. He mentioned that Onyeka had noticed Zion and Chinwe often giving her unpleasant looks, which led her to withdraw from her usual activities. “She no dey do all these her snail things,” he said, referring to her usual playful demeanour.
These tensions highlight the complexities and emotional challenges contestants face in the Big Brother Naija house.
With alliances forming and rivalries heating up, each decision could significantly impact the dynamics within the house.
As the contest continues, viewers are eager to see how these relationships will evolve and who will come out on top.
