Over the weekend, popular Shoreline Mafia rapper Fenix Flexin found himself behind bars after authorities discovered he had illegal substances during a traffic stop in Burbank, California.
According to Burbank Police, Fenixomar Rypinski, better known as Fenix Flexin, was arrested on July 26th around 6:15 PM. Officers pulled over the vehicle in which Fenix was a passenger for a routine traffic stop.
During the stop, they noticed Fenix behaving suspiciously, prompting a closer inspection.
Discovery of Illegal Substances
As officers approached the car, they observed that Fenix had Alprazolam, commonly known by its brand name Xanax, which is a medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders.
However, Fenix did not have a valid prescription for the psychotropic drug, making his possession of it illegal.
Police officers, acting by California’s Controlled Substances Act, deemed him to violate the law. The 28-year-old rapper was arrested on the spot and taken to the Burbank Jail, where he was booked.
Impact on Shoreline Mafia’s Comeback
Attempts to reach Fenix for comment have been unsuccessful so far. The arrest comes at a crucial time for Shoreline Mafia, as Fenix and fellow rapper OhGeesy have recently revived their presence with a couple of new tracks.
This legal hurdle may impact their momentum, much to the dismay of fans who have eagerly awaited their return to the music scene.
Fans and supporters are hopeful that Fenix’s legal issues can be resolved quickly, allowing him to focus on his music career and continue delivering the work that his audience loves.
Only time will tell whether this setback will affect Shoreline Mafia’s anticipated comeback.
