Former Contestants Share Their Side of the Story on Beat FM
Chinne and Nne, former contestants from Big Brother Naija Season 9, recently opened up about their eviction from the show.
Known as the Ndi Nne pair, the aunt and niece duo shed light on the circumstances that led to their exit from the popular reality TV series.
It is already known that Ndi Nne was voted out by the show’s Custodians, Streeze (consisting Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh), bringing their journey to an abrupt end.
However, during an interview with Beat FM, Chinne and Nne offered an in-depth look into their eviction and the dynamics within the house.
Perceived as Strong Competitors
Speaking candidly, the pair disclosed that their fellow housemates saw them as a significant threat. “We were perceived as strong competitors,” Chinne remarked. This perception, they believe, played a key role in their eviction.
The duo highlighted their various victories during the competition and their strategic alliances, particularly with the Mbadiwe twins, as reasons they were considered formidable opponents.
“Our wins and alliances made us stand out,” Nne added, emphasizing that their performance in the house made them targets for eviction.
They speculated that their strong presence and competitive spirit might have intimidated other contestants, leading to their eventual ousting.
Misrepresentation and Unseen Moments
Nne also touched on the portrayal of their relationship in the house, particularly how her aunt, Chinne, was depicted. “Many thought my aunt was ruining my game,” she explained.
According to Nne, this negative portrayal was misleading. She stressed that Chinne was actually a pillar of support for her throughout the competition.
“Chinne really helped me, but many of those moments weren’t shown to the viewers,” Nne said, pointing out that the reality of their relationship and their teamwork was not fully captured on screen.
This misrepresentation, she believes, contributed to their eviction as it skewed public perception and possibly influenced the votes against them.
As they concluded the interview, Chinne and Nne expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the show.
They remain optimistic about their future endeavours and continue to support each other as a family and as a team.
