Big Brother Naija reality television show winner Hazel Oyeze Onoduenyi aka Whitemoney has alleged that his colleague and co-reality star Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, aka Phyna who won the show in 2022 copied his strategy.
During an interview on MTV Base Sparks, Whitemoney hinted at the fact that some phrases he used during his time in the Big Brother House in 2021 were used by Phyna as well.
For instance, Whitemoney said that his catchy phrase “Who deyy”, was used by Phyna during the Level Up show. So, when asked about this, Phyna denied knowing Whitemoney as the originator of the phrase.
White Money asked Phyna; “I heard that you kind of used my script in the [Big Brother] House. There is a certain aspect of me that you inherited and used to spice up your own game. And it worked for you.”
In her response, Phyna insisted that she never watched the Big Brother Naija show, because, throughout the four years she waited, she got rejected after auditioning, so she decided to stay away from watching it to avoid getting jealous.
Phyna said;
“I have been auditioning for Big Brother for about five years. Four years before the fifth year last year [when I was selected]. Any year they don’t pick me, I don’t watch Big Brother. I don’t even want to know anything about it. I’m always jealous.
“So, when I was in the [Big Brother] House and I said, ‘Who deyyyy?….’ I was angry that day. It’s something I always say. It’s just part of me. So, I said that. And one day, one of the housemates was like, ‘Whitemoney used to say this ‘Who deyyy?’ in the House. You’re copying him.’
“I’m like, really? I didn’t know o because I didn’t watched [Big Brother Naija Season 6]. And she was like, no, you’re copying him. And I was like, anyways, as long as he win, you say I dey copy abi? Ehnn, make e still work for me.”
