Former Big Brother Naija Housemate Groovy confirmed that his relationship with co-reality star Phyna ended in January this year, 2023.
Groovy revealed this during the Level Up Reunion, episode 5 last night, Friday, June 23. Groovy was asked about the relationship with Phyna, and how they faired together.
Groovy explained that his relationship with Phyna didn’t go as planned, even though he made it clear in the House that the way the relationship is perceived in the House isn’t going to be the same outside.
Groovy disclosed that the relationship ended in January as a result of irreconcilable differences between both of them.
In his words, “It ended a couple of months ago, and to be honest, the reason why the relationship ended was because there were irreconcilable differences.
“I always said it, the way I did the relationship thing in the house will always be different on the outside because in the House you know how intense it gets and everything, and I said it to her that when we come outside, we see how the relationship goes because I know it’s going to be a different scenario, different vibe.
“And when we came outside, we gave it a go”. Ebuka asked if they were still together at the time Level Up stars went to Cape Town. “By Cape Town, you guys were still together?”, Ebuka asked. Groovy replied, “Yes we were still together”. Ebuka asked, “When did it end, by November, or December?”. Groovy responded, “No this was, I think by January”.

Groovy and Phyna kicked off this relationship back in Biggie’s House, during the Level Up show. Groovy had been in love with Beauty until she got disqualified and then Phyna took over. Outside of the House, it seemed like it was going to sail until things got out of hand.
