May Yul-Edochie, the lovely wife of the Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has sent out a response to him, following his recent public apology, over the second wife saga.
May, in a lengthy reply, notes that she strongly believes in forgiveness because it’s major part of human existence, adding that for her, forgiveness is highest and most beautiful form of love.
And this is the reason she has decided to forgive the mistakes of the past, present and future in respect to the issue on ground and for the sake of her sanity and mental health.
May continues that she has decided to stick to love, because hate is too great a burden to carry. She states that she’s very much incapable of hating anyone, let alone the father of her children.
She however notes that anyone can choose to practice polygamy, but she can’t be compelled into accepting what she never bargained for, because it’s against her faith, beliefs and values. In other words, she’s never accepting to stand as a co-wife to anyone.
Yul’s wife also beckons on him to minimise to rate at which he puts up a “show” on social media streets for the sake of their children who will grow up and see all that has went down. She prefers that all the social media drama from her husband, Yul be stopped.
May’s statement reads below.
“I strongly believe that mistakes are a major part of human existence. It is our response to these errors that count. In other words, forgiveness is one thing, and righting a wrong is another.
“FORGIVENESS is the highest | most beautiful form of love for me. There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love. Hence, my ability to forgive the mistakes of the past, present, and future with respect to the issue on ground is in the interest of my mental health and inner peace.
“I decided to stick to love… Hate is too great a burden to bear. I am still very much incapable of HATING anyone, let alone the father of my children. The fact remains that anyone can choose to practice POLYGAMY, but can’t be impelled to accept what was never bargained for.
“To reaffirm my stands, I will not be CAJOLED into accepting polygamy, which goes against my beliefs, faith, and values. I will not be NUMBERED in a home that we started building with love, faith, tears, hopes, and prayers in a CATHOLIC marriage of 18 years following a long term premarital relationship.
“This is also a passionate appeal to put an END to the constant “show” on the social media space where our kids are growing into unless it is absolutely necessary. Let’s prevent our lovely children from all the incessant drama series that might take a toll on them directly or indirectly amongst their peers.
“May GOD in His infinite mercy and compassion guide us all in the right direction. Merry Christmas in advance everyone!”

Recall that two days ago, Yul Edochie took to his social media platform and publicly apologised to his wife, following the big shock from his announcement in April.
The actor had come out to announce and confirm welcoming a son named Star Duke Munachimso Edochie with whom he now refers to as a second wife, Judy Austin Muoghalu, who’s also a Nollywood star.
Also, Yul’s wife May had reacted to this, saying that God will judge her husband and his second wife. And since then, there had been reports that May insisted on not cohabiting with another woman, in a house she and the husband built together.
