Nigerian music star and Afropop award winning singer Ayodeji Balogun famously known as Wizkid finally tenders apology to his fans over the failed Ghana show.
Big Wiz, as he’s fondly called apologises to his Ghanaian supporters and fans on Sunday, December 11 through a post via his Instagram page.
Wizkid notes that Ghana is a country he holds so dear to his heart and he would never do anything without a serious reason behind it.
He goes further to reveal that the show, which was slated to hold at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday was disrupted by some technical issues, as well as some safety concerns.
The Grammy award winning star however assures his fans that a new date for the show will be fixed and this, he’ll put accross to them as soon as possible.
Wizkid writes, “Ghana is a country I hold so dear to my heart, first and foremost I wanna apologise to all my fans! Y’all know I would never do anything, without a serious reasoning behind it.
“My brand is something I don’t joke with! I sincerely apologise, to everyone who made the effort to come out for me last night. I was charged up, looking forward to doing this show.
“However, please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honoring my fans, and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right thing to do and I had to.
“Unfortunately, up until the day of this show, there continued to be safety and production issues that prevented me from putting on a high quality show that my fans deserve.
“My Team and Myself are working on delivering a show to my amazing fans in Ghana. It will be just us, me and you. Date and details soon. Love you.”

Meanwhile, following the failed show, some Ghanaians voiced their frustration and disappointment, as they took to social media platforms to slam Big Wiz.
Ghanaian TV host Marcoli Boy was one of the people who called out Wizkid over the failed concert. He shades Wizkid saying that the singer sells 02Arena London in seconds but couldn’t sellout Accra Sports Stadium in a month.
