• Adekunle stated that he regrets actively looking for friendship where he’s not welcomed… This comes after this lady despite them knowing each other denies knowing Adekunle, after he acknowledged her in the Biggie’s Level Up House.
Former Big Brother Naija season 7 Level Up Housemate and reality television star Adekunle Tobilola Olopade simply known as Adekunle responds to a Nigerian-Taiwanese lady who denied knowing him despite their friendship.
This incident started when the lady identified as Ping Pong denied knowing who Adekunle is after Adekunle, while in the Biggie’s Level Up House talked about the lady.
Adekunle also stylishly advertised the lady and her business in the Biggie’s House, in front of some of his colleagues.
At some point the so called friend denied knowing Adekunle when some Big Brother Naija fans asked about their friendship. This led to Adekunle being dragged for trying to associate himself with someone he doesn’t have anything with.
Meanwhile, Ping Pong, after the Level Up show, had sent Adekunle a package, contradicting how she earlier denied knowing him.
On seeing some reactions from BBNaija fans who accused him of associating himself with someone he knows nothing about, and claiming to be friend with Ping Pong, Adekunle took to his Instagram story to share the below statement.
Adekunle notes that there’s no way he can go on national TV and lie about knowing someone, when it’s obvious both of them really know each other.
Adekunle added that he regrets is actively looking for friendship where he’s not welcomed.
He writes, “Nah, this actually isn’t fair. I’m not having the best of mornings. l’m seeing the videos and tweets now and I’m just here wondering what exactly did I do.
“Why would I go on national TV and lie. I’m already on the show, I have the platform and already have the fame. What benefits would affiliating with someone I don’t know bring to me.
“The one mistake I will take from my experience is, actively looking for friendships where I wasn’t welcomed, and I’ve taken my L for it.
“This is the one time I will break character, because I’m human too. It does hurt, knowing that alot of things I did with a plain heart was interpreted as evil. I typically wouldn’t post this, but then, there were people who suffered the backlash more than me.
“Friends, family and supporters that had to witness, take in and experience all the horrible and negative things that was said about me. This was their reality and they had to defend me with their all. They were hurt but they kept on pushing, and this is why I’m doing this.
“It’s not okay to think you can put out false narratives about an individual or any situation, when you don’t have all the facts right. It’s absolutely wrong. But here’s the thing about life. The truth will always find its way. And at the end of it all, we learn everycay. Good day and have an amazing week ahead.”
The Nigerian-Taiwanese lady also took to her Instagram story to react, following the backlashes from BBNaija fans and Adekunle’s supporters.
Ping Pong writes, “I started off the morning with some internet trolls… who don’t even know me. These are people who just dey observe and continue to dey observe because they have no job.
“If you know me, you know I don’t have time for that and I’ll just block you. I’m on private until further notice. Email me if it’s business related. in my bio.
“1.OPENING BACK UP BECAUSE I CAN’T LET PR ANTICS DRAG MY NAME.
2. IF YOU WANT TO SPEAK TO ME. SAY IT TO MY FACE AND TAG ME WITH YOUR CHEST. BE A GROWN UP AND HANDLE THINGS IN A MATURE AND RESPECTFUL MANNER.
3. THE PUBLIC OPINION CAN BE INTERPRETED IN 1000X WAYS.
4. BAD ENERGY STAY FAR AWAY.”
