• Davido’s son Ifeanyi is reported to have died following a tragic drowning incident at their Banana Island home in Lagos.
Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke and his fiancee Chioma Avril Rowland have lost their 3-year-old son Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr.
The sad news broke on Monday night, October 31, 2022, barely weeks after the celebration of the little boy’s 3rd birthday.
Davido and Chioma had on October 20th took to their platforms to celebrate their son together, who clocked 3.
The following day, birthday party was hosted at their home in Lagos on the late young man’s behalf.
Following the sad news, celebrities took their social media platforms to express shock, as they sympathize with the singer and the wife-to-be.
When contacted, Validupdates obtained from family source that the late young boy was left in swimming pool for too long, and on getting him out, he was already drown.
“The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital. By the time they rushed him to Evercare Hospital in Kekki it was already too late,” the family source said under anonymity to await official statement from the family.
Davido and Chioma had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday, Sunday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders (maid) who can’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.
ValidUpdates gathered that some of the people at Davido’s House when the incident happened have been arrested.
Davido, so distraught and inconsolable, was moved from Evercare Hospital and taken to his father’s house where he remains as at this report. And a number of Davido’s industry friends were at the hospital on Monday night.
