Why I regret not signing Teni and Patoranking – Music executive Soso Soberekon reveals

Nigerian music executive, and talent manager, Soso Soberekon, also known as White Lion has shared his regrets for not signing popular afropop award-winning singer, Teni and dancehall reggae artiste, Patoranking into his record label.

White Lion noted that Patoranking is now bigger than the artiste he signed in place of Patoranking, even though Patoranking at that time, takes bike all the way from Ikorodu to come and meet him with his demo CD, begging him to sign him.

He added that he also regrets not signing Teni, but not as much as the regret he has over not listening to Patoranking and accepting to sign him then.

Through the grace of God, Patoranking got signed by another label which helped him become who he is today.

Mr Soberekon disclosed this during question and answer session on his Instagram page, where he engaged his followers to ask him anything.

The follower came with the question, “What is your greatest regret or decision you didn’t take?”

And Soso replied, “Why l didn’t sign Patoranking & Teni when I had the chance to especially Patoranking, he was taking okada from Ikorodu/Ebute Meta to meet me several times with his demo cd, Begging me to sign him but l couldn’t sign him then, but later signed someone else that Patoranking is 100 times bigger than today”.

Meanwhile, ValidUpdates sighted another question, where the music executive was asked who among Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid is his favourite.

Soso responded that Davido is his favourite because he has a better business relationship with him than the other two star singers, Burna Boy and Wizkid.
