Big Brother Naija season 7 Level Up Housemate and reality television star, Doyin has claimed that the winner of BBNaija Pepper Dem show, Mercy Eke deserved it more than her closest rival, Tacha.
Doyin made mention of this during a conversation with her colleagues, Bella, Sheggz, Adekunle in the living room, on Day 6 of the Level Up show.
Doyin recounted that Mercy Eke played the game very well more than her fellow Housemates, as Bella objected saying that if Tacha wasn’t disqualified, she would have taken the crown from Mercy.
But Doyin insisted that Mercy Eke would have still win, had Tacha remained in the show.
Doyin said, “It was between Mercy and Tacha”. And Bella, who was present during the conversation added, “If Tacha was in the show, she would have won”. (Implying that if Tacha had made it to the finale without getting disqualified, she would have been crowned Pepper Dem show winner).
Toyin continued, “I think if Tacha was there Mercy would have still won. I think either of them would have been the winner.
“It was obvious Mercy was already living a baby girl life”. Bella added, “She won because she deserved it”.
Doyin said, “To me Mercy has been the only deserving winner. I loved the way she played that game. She deserved it.
“Mercy was interesting to watch. And I think this game is just grace. When God says it’s for you, it’s for you.
Sheggz still added that Nigerians haven’t always allowed a privileged contestant to win the show, even when they get to the finale. For example, Mike Edwards of Pepper Dem season 4.
“Nigerians can like you to the point you can get to the final. They’re very sentimental”.
