Big Brother announced on Friday night, Day 6 of BBNaija Level Up show that Level 2 Housemates have won the first week’s Wager task.
This simply means that the Level 2 Housemates, which include Amaka, Beauty, Phyna, Groovy, Pharmsavi, Bryann, Daniella, Khalid, Cyph, Kess, Ilebaye, and Christy O have earned 1,500 Pocket Naira each for themselves.
And according to Biggie, the Pocket Naira can be used by the Housemates to purchase any food items of their choice for the next one week.
This week’s Wager task happens to be the first ever Wager task by the Level Up Housemates, and Big Brother had instructed the Housemates to carry out the task according to their Levels, 1 and 2.
Each Level was instructed to form three groups, which would comprise four Housemates per group. This means that Level 1 Housemates will have three groups, while Level 2 Housemates would have same.
Each groups were given four days to prepare a talent showcase. And for the show piece, all four Housemates from each groups performed simultaneously.
Together with the talent showcase preparation, Biggie noted that Housemates from each Level are also going to prepare an anthem.
For the Wager task, Levels competed against each other, with Level 2 as the winner, after garnering highest points of 80 in the task.
The winning Level according to Biggie was determined using the following criteria; Creativity, Originality, and Presentation or Organization. Talent however wasn’t considered as the criteria for any winning Level.
Also, only the winning Level earns the opportunity to shop on Saturday, when the shopping cart opens. And this means that the loosing team won’t have the opportunity to access the shopping cart.
Alongside the shopping freedom, the winning Level also earns access to the pool party on Thursday night and the Saturday night after party.
The presentation ran in three rounds, where Biggie announced the winning Level for each round. And each victory gives the winning Level 20 points.
At the end of the three rounds, each Levels were given the opportunity to present their anthem, which according to Biggie carries a whopping 40 points, the best performance earns 40 points.
It started with Level 1 Housemates, whose first 4 Housemates, Allysyn, Dotun, Doyin, and Adekunle took part in a drama. After the performance from the Level 1 group 1 Housemates, Level 2 group 1 Housemates Bryann, Daniella, Christy O and Khalid took the stage for the round one.
At the end of the round one, Level 2 won with 20 points.
Then, the round two began with Level 2 group 2 Housemates Cyph, Phyna, Kess and Amaka, followed by group 2 Housemates Hermes, Eloswag, Chi Chi and Chomzy from Level 1.
At the end of round two, Biggie scored each group 2 from both Levels zero points.
On the round three, Giddyfia, Sheggz, Bella and Diana represented the Level 1 Housemates from group 3, while Groovy, Pharmsavi, Ilebaye and Beauty stood on behalf of Level 2 Housemates from group 3.
At the end of this round, Biggie announced that group 3 Level 2 Housemates won, with 20 points.
Finally, each Levels were given the opportunity to perform their respective anthems and at the end, Level 2 emerged victorious with 40 points. And this left Level 2 Housemates with a total of 80 points.
Biggie later announced that Level 2 Housemates have won the week’s Wager task, with each of the 12 Housemates from the Level 2 earning 1,500 Pocket Naira as their week’s shopping allowance.
