• Shine Ya Eye ex-housemate, Maria is being held by Ghanaian authorities, following some Covid-19 vaccination uncertainty.
Reports reaching ValidUpdates states that Ghanaian authorities are holding former Big Brother Naija star and season 6 Shine Ya Eye ex-housemate, Maria Benjamin Chike, alongside other Nigerians, against their will in Ghana.
According the reports, the authorities held them over Covid-19 restrictions, which was said to have been instituted in the country.
In a post made by Maria on Sunday afternoon, December 5, via her Instagram story, she expressed her disappointment over what Ghanaian authorities are doing to her.
She alleged to being humiliated by the authorities, and she’s likely to loose her cool over the situation, adding that it’s not going to be pretty.
“To say I am disappointed, upset, hurt and humiliated by the system is an understatement. Please don’t make me loose my cool. It won’t be pretty please,” Maria posted.
However, in an additional post by one of her supporters, identified as Giftama via the Twitter platform, Maria is said to have been extorted and put in a stinking hotel room in Ghana.
Giftama further claimed that Maria’s doctor has provided a vaccination report showing that the reality star is Covid-19 negative, but the authorities have insisted on locking her, alongside other Nigerians up.
“The Ghanaian authorities are holding Maria against her willI. This is sad. What is this covid extortion? These people are doing fake covid results to keep Nigerians in quarantine and extort them.
“What is this mess? Kept her in a stinking hostel even when a doctor confirmed she’s Covid negative. Again, what is the essence of the Covid-19 vaccine?,” the Twitter post read.
Meanwhile, as at time of this report, we’re yet to get an official statement from Ghanaian authorities.
