Grammy award-winning superstar, and afropop singer, Burna Boy has responded to Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale, over his rant about Nigerian artistes.
Burna Boy, who made his response known via his Instagram story on Friday, December 31 stated that Shatta Wale’s claim that Nigerian DJs don’t play Ghanaian music in Nigeria like Ghanaian DJs do play Nigerian music in Ghana was lie.
Burna insisted that even South African, American and UK music are also being played in Ghana, but it seems Shatta Wale has issue with Nigerian own.
He suspected that there’s something the Ghanaian dancehall singer isn’t letting anyone know, which he has against Nigerians.
Burna Boy wrote, “DEM DEY PLAY SOUTH AFRICAN, AMERICAN AND UK MUSIC ALSO FOR GH. BUT NA NIGERIA OWN BE ISSUE. SOMETHING FISHY IS SMELLING.
“IF YOU NEVER HELPED ANYONE THAT YOU COULDN’T GAIN FROM. IF YOU CAN’T NAME 1 PERSON THAT CAME FROM UNDER YOU AND DIDNT END UP YOUR ENEMY. YOU CANT CRY FOR HELP AND FEEL ENTITLED TO IT.
“2022 I PRAY WE NOT 0NLY GROW OLDER AND FATTER, I PRAY WE GROW WISER AND STRONGER. MAY NONE OF US BE FOOLS AT 40.”
It would be recalled that weeks ago, Shatta Wale was heard during his concert in Ghana saying that he hates Nigerian artistes, because of their lack of support to Ghanaian counterparts.
Shatta Wale, while addressing the concert goers and his fans, said “F*ck Nigerian artistes”.
He went on to continue the ranting on his Twitter page, where he alleged that Nigerian artistes sing one way music and melody, adding that all Nigerian singers sound the same way.
“One way music and melody…u deh take disturb man for Ghana.. I can’t boldly tell you naija ppl… your artiste all sound the same One way style… I have nothing to loose Baba,” Shatta Wale’s post read in part.
Following his tweets, some Nigerian entertainers responded to Shatta, advising him to desist from being jealous and use his public figure and popularity to promote peace and love, and not hatred.
