• Mercy Eke and her ex-lover, Ike seem to be having unending feud as it now comes to mind that each time one speaks about their past relationship in an interview, the other will react.
Former Big Brother Naija season 4 Pepper Dem reality television star, Steve Ike Onyema, has responded, after his ex-lover and Big Brother Naija season 4 show winner, Mercy Eke termed their former relationship as a total disaster.
Prior to Mercy Eke’s statement, Ike, during a recent interview with Vanguard, reiterated that his past relationship, (with Mercy) wasn’t it at all.
Ike stated that he hates relationship where people have millions of opinions, adding that he needs a lady, who’s pretty much independent, and not so engaged on social media activities.
Ike said, “l’ve been in a couple of relationships but this one (with Mercy) wasn’t it; having a relationship where people have a million opinions just isn’t it.
“I will like to date a lady that is intelligent, pretty
much independent and not so freaked about social media. I believe social media brings a lot of negative vibes from people when it comes to relationship.”
However, a day after Ike’s interview went viral, Mercy reacted to it with a video, which she posted via her social media page. Mercy said that her past relationship (with Ike) was a disastrous one.
She said, “My last relationship, it was a total disaster, it was disastrous.”
Shortly after the video made the rounds, Ike returned with his own response, and advised Mercy to normalize referring to him as brother, since they’re not dating any longer, adding that he’s not her mate.
“Since We can’t date, Abeg put brother back to my name. I nor be ur mate,” Ike posted on his verified Instagram page on Monday, October 11.
Meanwhile, this bad bloods existing between Mercy and Ike started since after the BBNaija Pepper Dem show in 2019.
Ike and Mercy were known back in the House as one of the special lovebirds which earned them their first ever reality television show, Mercy and Ike show.
They however separated in early 2020, when reports made the rounds that one person cheated on the other.
