• Whitemoney said that he’s very sure his personality attracted co-housemates to nickname him Mazi, Odogwu, Ichie, etc.
Big Brother Naija season 6 Shine Ya Eye show winner, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney has revealed reason his colleagues in the Big Brother House, nicknamed him Odogwu, Ichie, amongst other names.
Whitemoney, in a one-on-one chat with Net NG, stated that some of these names was first introduced in the House by Maria, who was also the first person to address him by the name.
And according to Whitemoney, the personality he portrayed in the House made his co-housemates start to refer to him as Mazi, which means Mr, and as Odogwu means ‘Strong man’.
Whitemoney added that while in the House, he was able to withstand pressure, because it’s his nature to withstand it.
He said, “Yeah, as the personality for me, I would say I didn’t know. But I came in there as Whitemoney and I think Maria started calling me Mazi, as well as Liquorose, and the thing echoed.
“I had Odogwu, I had Ichie, yeah, but Mazi took… That was like the staunch one, it was there.
“But it was just a personality, may be the personality I portrayed brought that name, and that name doesn’t come to kids. That name isn’t a nickname. It’s for men that can withstand pressure. And I know I was built to withstand pressure, that’s my nature. I don’t crack easily.
”So, I guess the personality attracted the name and made it stuck.”
